As a Christian I believe in the Trinity. We believe in one God who reveals himself to us in the three persons who are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They constitute one and the same God. We worship Christ for his divine attributes and titles and we do so as well as the Father and the Holy Spirit because he speaks and acts as if he were God himself.
Jesus accepts the title and role of Christ, the Messiah. When John baptized him, he received the Spirit and the command from God to begin his ministry. “And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove end rest on him, and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3: 16-17 ESV
When one day we accept and also believe in Christ as our Savior, at the same time we have done so in God the Father, in Christ his Son and in the Holy Spirit, this implies that we are involved in a union with God. As human beings we have a tripartite nature. “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, he will surely do it.” 1Thessalonians 5:23-24 ESV
If the Spirit is in us, Christ is in us and He dwells in the heart by faith.
When we live with a saving faith it is very important in our union with Christ since it involves total security regarding the faithfulness of God and the truth of his word that is proclaimed in the Gospel. The Gospel contains everything concerning Jesus Christ and his work and message.
We trust in God through Christ with whom we established a personal relationship of trust and commitment for life. Our duty, therefore, is great and means that we cannot pursue the flesh but rather pursue the Spirit. If someone habitually lives according to the desires of the world, he lives with a high risk that, despite being a Christian, he may perish in his sins.
Becoming united with Christ is a long process of regeneration that begins the divine spirit in our spirit. It is very difficult because we live in a fold that is life. If we do not enter and are aware of what life is, we will not have access to its mystery.
“To the pure, all things are pure, but not the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.” Titus 1:15-16 ESV
To have faith in God is to know that life is on our side. We are not left in the hands of God, but on the contrary, due to our faith we are cared for by Him. In short, we are united with Christ.
May God bless you.
