Collins, Curren to wed Aug. 3
Kathrine JoAnne Collins and Seth Thomas Curren are to be married Saturday, August 3rd at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in House. All friends and family are invited.
The couple met in 2014 as freshmen on their first day of class at Mississippi College, from which they each received undergraduate degrees.
Miss Collins, 23, known as Katie, will be working as a law clerk for the Mississippi Court of Appeals in Jackson. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College in English and magna cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law.
She is the daughter of Chris and Tammy Collins, and the granddaughter of JoAnne Ethridge Collins and the late Muriel C. Collins, all of Union. Her maternal grandparents were Ernest and Judy Rogers of Florence. The bride’s father is the senior judge for Mississippi’s 8th Circuit, and her mother was formerly an educator.
Mr. Curren, 23, is a 2nd year law student at the Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. He graduated cum laude from Mississippi College in accounting and is employed as a law clerk with Camp Law Firm in Jackson.
He is the son of Kevin and Carol Curren of Olive Branch. His grandparents are Carolyn Jean Curren of Memphis and the late Gayland “Sonny” Curren, and Patty Levering and the late Dale Shaffer of Mt. Gilead, Ohio. The groom’s father is the Global Financial Service Enterprise Manager with International Paper in Memphis. His mother is a homemaker.
