Leiden, Phillips to wed Saturday
Dr. Kelly Leiden of Ocean Springs and Mr. Matthew Leiden of Virginia Beach, VA are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Walsh Leiden to Gene Bridges Phillips, Junior, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bridges Phillips, Senior of Memphis, Tennessee.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Walsh, Senior of Forest and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Leiden of Pennsylvania.
Miss Leiden is a 2011 graduate of East Rankin Academy and a 2015 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.
She earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2016.
The bride-elect is currently continuing her education as a dental student pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the UTHSC College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Frank Phillips, Senior and the late Mrs. Claudette Phillips of Germantown, TN, and Mrs. Jackie Butler of Hot Springs, AR and Mr. and Mrs. Don Rogers of Hernando.
Mr. Phillips is a 2011 graduate of St. George’s Independent School in Collierville, Tennessee.
He is a 2016 graduate of the University of Mississippi where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications.
The bridegroom-elect is a sales representative for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits in Memphis.
The couple will exchange vows in an evening ceremony on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Chapel at Plein Air in Taylor. Following a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Memphis.
