Just be there for them
Good Morning/Evening!
“Thine, O Lord, is the greatest, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.” (It’s from the Bible.)
We read our Bibles, we hear the Word preached and expounded on, we profess to be Christians..followers of Christ. And yet there are times when trouble, detours, or unimaginable situations show up in our lives, we seem to step away from our Faith in God and His Word. It says in the above scripture, “all that is in heaven and in the earth is thine.” Well we are in earth and created by God and belong to Him, so why do we get so shaken at certain things? I believe, it’s partly because we are human, and partly because we are still growing in our faith, and even in our moments of weakness God is still there for us when we come to ourselves after a momentary lapse of shock. The victory is already ours as long as we remember whose we are and that He cares about us (loves us unconditionally)? Whatever we may face, individually or concerning the welfare of others, just remember “if God guides us to it, He will provide what’s needed.”
We are in continued intercessory prayers for all the sick and shut-ins everywhere, the victims of gun violence, and their families. Lord we pray for our communities.

Grief changes us, the pain sculpts us into someone who understands more deeply; hurts more often, appreciates more quickly, cries more easily, hopes more desperately....and loves more openly. Just be there for them, words are not often necessary!!
