To: Jerome J. Ward, Morton native on his debut as an author with the publishing of his new book “The Paradox.” Jerome has a passion for story telling and says that his inspiration for the story stems from his wife. The desire and effort to publish the book is strongly influenced by the support of his family. The accomplishments of Morton natives always gives us great pride. May this new adventure prove to be a successful endeavor and lead to more “stories.”

Lexie Covington, Frieda Jenkins, Ruby Lucroy and Renae’ Thompson report having a wonderful trip to the famous Mackinac Island, Michigan with lodgings at Mission Resort. While there they enjoyed the absence of motor vehicles. Hiking, riding bikes and being surrounded by beautiful serene scenery and luxurious flowering plants and foliage were hilighlights of the restful, much deserved vacation. They DID splurge on a meal at the famous Grand Hotel, expensive, but all agreed that the setting and food was worth it!
