Announcements: The City of Morton Board of Aldermen meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at the City Board Room. All citizens who have an interest are invited.
Chamber of Commerce activities in celebration of the Christmas Season: Tree Lighting and Cookies with Santa is Saturday, December 4 at 6:30 p.m., Farris Park Center; Christmas Parade is Monday, December 6 beginning at 6 p.m. (All floats/cars line up starts at 4:30 with judging at 5).
Reception honoring the 2021 Forest Citizens of the Year, Billy and Sandra Lovett and Elizabeth Ann Lovett is scheduled for Thursday, December 2 at the Colbert Commons from 3:30 -5 p.m.
Forest Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 3. No floats will be allowed to feature a Santa likeness. The Lovett’s will be Grand Marshals 2021.
First Baptist of Morton invites everyone to attend the Christmas Concert “Give Me Jesus” on Sunday, December 5th at 6 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A beautiful mix of Christmas favorites and stirring songs about the importance of Christmas. Several guests soloists (Heather Westmoreland and McKenzie Bell and special guest pianist, Cynthia Stuart).

Travelin, visitin, and such: With a very special holiday for family gatherings, once again possible, it has been a time of travel/visits using all modes of travel to successfully get from A to B and back again. Hopefully your Thanksgiving gathering, whether a simple day at home or a trip, was safe and rewarding.
