Perfect weekend for Easter celebrations
It would be hard to imagine a more perfect weekend for the Easter holiday celebrations. Harperville had a high attendance with many visitors and regular church members present. In just the last few weeks, we have witnessed three individuals making public professions of faith. We will baptize Henry Elmore, Mason Gilmore and Lydia McKay in the near future.
The HBC Haiti team will have a Yard Sale in Forest at the Garden Patch Restaurant on Saturday, April 7th. They will be there bright and early with all types of clothes and household items. All proceeds will be used to fund their mission trip.
Congratulations to P.J. Normile, a freshman at Scott Central. He recently earned the distinction of Eagle Scout. Only about five percent of all scouts earn this performance based achievement. As an Eagle Scout, P.J. will be eligible for numerous valuable college scholarships. P.J. joins ranks with some famous individuals who were also Eagle Scouts: President Gerald Ford, the founder of Walmart, Sam Walton, movie producer, Steven Spielberg, astronaut Neil Armstrong and dozens of senators, representatives, governors, and other persons with notable accomplishment. Congratulations to P.J. and his parents on attaining this prestigious designation.
Scott Central Yearbook Staff will host the Annual Beauty and Beau pageant on Saturday in the high school gym. The Elementary divisions will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the junior/high school division will start at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
