It’s No Fluke
Scott Central Rebels soundly defeated the Forest Bearcats at the jamboree. The varsity won 19-0 and the JV won 18-12. No fluke here! These guys have a winning tradition going back to peewee and junior high football! It is going to be fun seeing how far they can go this season.
If that does not excite you about the upcoming year, then come to the 2018-19 Meet the Rebels on August 16, 2018 at 6:30 pm. You can see and feel first-hand the buzz of excitement for all things SC. Our players, from all sports, our Rebel Pride Marching Band, our cheerleaders, coaches and sponsors will be introduced.
Then ride that excitement on to Scott Central on Friday night. The SC Rebels will play Enterprise at 7:00. The SC Band will introduce its half-time show, which is always amazing, as evidenced by their superior marching awards. This year they will present, A Magical Adventure which features music from Mindcraft, Moana, and The Lion King. Any elementary student (K-4) who dresses as a character will be admitted free of charge to the first game of the regular season against Enterprise.
Many, many thanks to the Forest Rotary Club for the donation of money and supplies for our students and teachers. Top of Form.
We are so thankful that our “girls” are back safely from Haiti. Mickenzie Myers, Brooke Rawson and Shannon Warren, all members of Harperville Baptist Church, have just returned from an additional two week mission trip to Haiti. They had rewarding experiences, despite some illness. Shannon told me that she would “go back tomorrow” if she could. We are so thankful for their willingness to go and serve and also thankful to see them safely home again.
Harperville Baptist Church’s Wednesday night activities will kick off this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the church gymnasium. This weekly event is open to any children, K-12.
Something to ponder: If you only had today what you thanked God for yesterday, what would you have?
