5th Quarter is Friday night at HBC
Homecoming festivities for the week concluded at Scott Central under the Friday night lights. Pre-game, the Rebel Pride Marching Band presented their field show. The show features music from several Disney movies. The band looked sharp with their new uniform hats, pants, backdrops and flags.
During half-time, the 2018 homecoming court was presented which featured 16 maids, two crown bearers and two flower girls. Named as the 2018 Football Queen was Chryselynn Martin. Crowned as the 2018 Homecoming Queen was Zykerra Kincaid.
The evening culminated with yet another victory for Scott Central! They defeated Sweet Water, AL by a score of 32-6. The Rebels will host Newton next Friday. After the game, Harperville Baptist will host “5th Quarter” from 10:00 p.m. to midnight at the Harperville BC gymnasium. All youth from the area are invited to attend.
The Scott Central 2018 annuals arrived last week. They are available for purchase for $45 in the high school office.
Jason Tillman brought an inspirational and challenging message on Sunday morning entitled “What Now?” His wife, Joni, a lifelong member of HBC, sang Once and For All for the hymn of decision. The choir special was Friend of a Wounded Heart with soloists Kathy Lee and Ruth Gaddis. We are so very blessed to have such a gifted speaker and talented soloists at Harperville.
