Graduates honored at Harperville Baptist
Baccalaureate services were observed in many churches across the county over the last two weeks. Harperville Baptist Church honored their graduates during the Sunday morning service. Youth Minister, Jason Tillman, led the services.
Honored were Madison Edwards, in memorium, Chryselynn Martin and Dillon Shaw. Jason has been conducting the baccalaureate services for several years now and always does a phenomenal job of providing personal insights of each graduate. This year was no exception.
After recognizing the three students for their personal accomplishments, he told anecdotes about each graduate. He told about “the timid, but fierce Chryselynn”, “the famous and always well-mannered Dillon” and the “sweet, affectionate and funny Madison.” Along with Bibles, he gave students a lantern and a flashlight to serve as a reminder to live in The Light, to follow The Light and to Be The Light to the world. After the service, a large potluck lunch was enjoyed by all family and friends.
