Thanksgiving Holidays are November 25-29
On November 12th, the celebrations started early at Scott Central. Students on the Principals List (All A’s) for the first nine weeks were recognized with a breakfast, a certificate and SC water bottle. Students who qualified for the Honor Roll (A’s and B’s) for the first nine weeks also received a certificate and water bottle.
Seventeen students were inducted into Junior Beta Club during a ceremony on November 14th. Congratulations to these students and thanks to the sponsors, Mrs. Jennifer Pope and Mrs, Michelle Bulloch, for their hard work and diligence in celebrating academic excellence.
Retests for state tests will be this week. English II will be Tuesday and Wednesday; Algebra, Biology, and US History will be Thursday and any makeups will given on Friday.
On Thursday, the JH basketball will play Morton with the 7th grade boys playing at 5 pm; 7th & 8th grade girls will play at 6 pm and 8th grade boys will play at 7 pm.
Scott Central Rebels defeated East Marion last Friday night by a score of 34 to 6. Therefore, they will advance to Round 3 of the 2A playoffs and will travel to play Enterprise-Clarke (11-1). Coach Cooper said that they were taking it “one day at a time and just concentrating on the next game.” Congratulations on the win and good luck this Friday. Kickoff will be at 7 and admission is $8.
Thanksgiving Holiday will be observed next week, November 25-29.
