Our Way
The world has achieved a very high level of instant communication. Paradoxically, in this digital world, there are people who dedicate themselves to falsify news so that many people will buy and read, and this is how we lose privacy, and the intrinsic evil that exists in our human nature, has found a good stock of culture through cybernetic advances. Many people and important politicians take advantage of the right to freedom of opinion that the Constitution gives us. The problem lies when the people’s opinions reflect a total absence of the principles that God gives us.
A good percentage of the young generations that dominate cybernetics have created their own principles and ways as if life were spent in a desert without a path. They believe that by walking in the quicksand, they are building a path that will lead them to fulfill their purposes and principles that are not of God. There are social prejudices and organized groups that are rising to the surface where there is a conviction of being superior and the belief that the truth lies in them. They try to revive perverse ideologies such as the Nazism.
Others believe that fascism is an effective political tool to encourage racist nationalisms. All these groups have in common the ignorance of what Christ is and represents for our culture and spirit. Some people know about Him, but they ignore Him and refuse to take the path that Jesus Christ pointed out to us. “Thomas said to him, ‘Lord we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?’”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:5-6 ESV
“Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.” Proverbs 23:12 Those who wish to obtain wisdom leave the spiritual desert where they live in the social network and are willing to listen and read in what all Christians believe. Addicts to the digital world should know that the word of God is also available on the internet and that the mere fact of looking for it and reading it is a sign of wisdom and never of weakness as some people think.
We do not envy those who boast of owning the latest iPhone model and the most advanced of computers or tablets. There is no problem in owning these advances. The problem lies in the way they are being used and the purposes for which they are being used. If they are things related to your spiritual growth, this is fine, but we are witnesses that the younger generations do not have faith and ignore God without knowing that this behavior has serious spiritual consequences. They are outside the system where they can find peace and love.
It is time to divest yourself of all that is called “my way” and to come to trust in the manner of Jesus Christ. Despite the problems that arise daily in the world and in each of our lives, Jesus is always willing to relieve the emotional burden and take us out of the desert to walk in valleys where there will always be the “living water” that only Jesus can provide.
God bless you.
