Life is about choices
Do you feel rejected? Do you feel your self-esteem has plummeted to the bottom? Do others make you feel less worthy?
“O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar……….you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely………For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made………All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139: 1-16)
These scriptures assure us that God has a beautiful, unique plan for each of us! He knew us before we were even born! Friends, no two people are alike. Yes, we are unique and “wonderfully made.” We should never allow the devil to convince us that we are a mistake or a piece of junk, regardless of our present lifestyle. Even the negative words or actions of others can affect our self-esteem. It could be comments coming from those who mean well, but come across hurtful with their words. Instead of exhausting ourselves by correcting everyone’s words, we must learn to rise above what others do or say. We must choose to not allow words, comments, or actions steal our joy and confidence. We are God’s children! We are loved!
God is our Abba Father (Daddy) and loves us with a pure, unconditional, and everlasting love! Nothing we do or say surprises God. We never catch him off guard with our actions for He’s our all-knowing Heavenly Father and nothing we do or say will change his love for us. Nothing! Isn’t that comforting?
When you feel down on yourself, remember, ”Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so… “
Today, I encourage you to look in the mirror and see what your God sees. He created a wonderful, beautiful you! God’s words are definitely more important and powerful than hurtful words from others. Don’t waste your time and energy getting angry when someone says hurtful comments to you. Instead rejoice that you are “wonderfully made.” Thankfully you’re not like everyone else!
No matter what sin you’ve committed in your past or where you have come from, God sees you as beautiful. Also, if you are living in regret because of your past, remember He is a restoration God and desires to restore you better than before plus He desires to help you grow spiritually so you can help others. What a beautiful plan! His plan for you is individualized!
Life is about choices… Let’s choose to believe God’s Words that bring us “life and life more abundantly.”
Remember, in God’s eyes you are not a sinner, piece of junk, a loser, a mistake, etc. You are His child, created and loved by Him!
God never makes mistakes!!
