Have trust in your miracle
Do we really trust God for our miracle? Do we really believe that He will answer our prayers?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (quit trying to figure it out); in all your ways acknowledge Him (give Him praise), and He will direct your path (He’ll answer).” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Let’s face it, we are a self-focused generation who wants immediate answers. Like using google, we want God to answer our prayers instantly. Unfortunately, God doesn’t work like that. He is an almighty, all-knowing God, who like a good parent, always does what’s best for us. His love covers our sins with Jesus’ blood. Because He is a good God full of love, He only sees the good in us. We can look in the mirror and can see every fault we have, but He only sees beauty and goodness. God is love!
He desires to answer each prayer we pray!
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.” (Psalm 28:7)
As we read this scripture, we understand He is a shield that will protect us. He also says that as we trust Him, we are helped (prayers answered).
Yesterday, I heard some news that initially upset and angered me. At first, I said I wouldn’t allow it to bother me, but it kept creeping back into my mind with a nagging attack. I knew I had to exercise my faith and believe God’s Word that He would take care of it. I went to bed last night praising God that it was all under control and in His hands.
When will we realize that we can’t change people? We can’t, but God can! No one is too big or stubborn for God! If he can move mountains, part seas, raise the dead, etc., then I know in my heart, He can answer my prayers!
Last night I had a lesson from the Holy Spirit in trust. I was faced with a decision to make. Would I trust God or myself? I chose God! I chose to trust Him!
“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
The key words in this verse are “Be still.” That means for me to step back and trust God! He doesn’t need my help to solve the problems.
To summarize, I repented for allowing the problem to upset me, I focused my heart on Jesus with total trust. And I slept well last night knowing He would answer and take care of it!
“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His Word. Just to rest upon His promise…”
Prayer changes everything and everybody!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
