Don’t Give Up

Are you tired and feel like giving up?

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7)

When you feel like giving up, you are missing out on what God has to offer! There are so many things that demand our attention and while it may be good to leave behind unhealthy relationships, jobs, and habits, it’s also important to keep fighting for what is good and right. Fight for marriage, fight for your kids, fight for your health and don’t give up! Know that you are not alone, and know that we are in the hands of God! He will provide us with strength when we need it.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

There are situations that I have prayed about and God answered immediately. But there are other times that I had to wait. It wasn’t that God didn’t care or was too busy. The delay was for my benefit. It was either something I didn’t need at the time or he was teaching me to lean on Him with full trust.

God never ignores us and His timing is always perfect. Therefore, we must learn to trust Him. If we have prayed about a situation, we can be assured that He will answer! It’s important to not give up no matter how long we have waited or how tired we have become. Don’t give up! Trust Him!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

As you wait for your answer, take time to read His word and meditate on scriptures regarding faith. Speak them out loud and believe each word. I promise you’ll be encouraged. Also begin your prayers thanking Him for all He has done for you, and thank Him for answering the prayers you have submitted even though you might not have received an answer just yet. He will answer!

I’m amazed how God has turned my life around regarding trusting Him. I encourage myself daily that He is answering my prayers. Even though it’s tough, I try not to allow discouragement to have a place in my life. I have made the choice to focus on Jesus and not on situations around me that might cause discouragement. My trust is in Him!

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)

I love this verse! I have clung to it many times when the enemy would attack and whisper in my ear that God wasn’t going to answer, Lies!

He’s faithful, and will answer because He loves us!

Don’t give up!
