Go out and vote next Tuesday
The church went to Jones Chapel M. B. Church on last Saturday night to aid and support the Benefit Program for our ex-First Lady Vernita Whittington. She testified that she is a double cancer patient, along with other illnesses. The program was a well-received program.
Midway Church has started fasting on February 26 until Easter. Enjoying menu’s that contain no meat can be a challenge. So far, we are stepping up to the challenge. Praying that the Lord continue to give us strength as we embark on this journey. You may read more on Wesley Griffin’s Facebook page.

Remember next week you go out and vote for the candidate of your choice to be president, senator and representative. The polling places or precincts will be opened at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. You may vote absentee ballot at the Circuit Clerk’s Office until Saturday at 12:00 noon.
Next week will begin Spring Break at the schools. Parents remember to keep your children close and try to keep them safe.
Congratulations to the county schools for the great rating they received. For the other schools keep striving for perfection.
My son Rodney Stowers will be included in the 10 people inducted into the Scott County Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 18th, at Livingston Preforming Arts Center, Roosevelt State Park in Morton. Learning with a Snack is a tutoring program at the Midway Freewill Baptist Church. After School Feeding and Tutoring Program for ages 5 – 15, every Monday and Wednesday of each week from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All students are welcome.
