I hope those who have received their stimulus checks are enjoying them. You have made good choices on how to spend this money. I read that if your income tax checked were mailed, you would not get your stimulus check until May.

Hope and pray that everyone is taking necessary precautions during this pandemic. I am reading The Atlantis Trilogy by A. G. Riddle, The Atlantic Gene, The Atlantis Plague and The Atlantis World. The book was published several years ago, but so much that is happening parallels to his writing.
With this Pandemic, my little old suggestions are to prepare yourself for survival. We as a human race of people have gotten so complacent with everyday living. We do not know or want to know how to raise a garden. That might get to be the food that you will have to eat. How many of you have pick peas or lima beans? Do you know how to gather okra? Before I get too far into getting food, my question is, do you know how to cook? Not microwave or put into the oven to eat. The old saying, “cook from scratch”. Young people take time with your grandparents, great-grandparents and let them start teaching you how to cook from scratch.
I realize that as you read this, you can say so why, but look at how you have lived. That way is not here right now. You must learn now in order to be prepared in your future. The time to prepare for war is in time of peace. The phrase Si vis pacem, para bellum is adapted from a statement found in Latin author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus's tract De Re Militari (4th or 5th century AD). It was also the summary of George Washington's First State of the Union Address, as it appeared in The Massachusetts Spy, Thursday, January 21, 1790. After his election to the presidency and his inauguration in April of 1789, Washington. I keep writing this because it needs to stick in your head somewhere and you begin to listen, pay attention, learn and do something about it.
Those of you in the city if you want a garden space, see me. If someone has space that someone can rent for gardening, contact me.
