Midway M. B. Church morning service is at 10:30 am on Facebook. You may mail your tithes to 5860 Midway Odom Road, Forest, MS 39074 or you can pay your tithes and offering through your PayPal.com. The account is under MidwayMBC@yahoo.com.
The church reopened July 12, 2020. Service started at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Everyone is required to wear a mask and sit social distancing on every other pew. The length of service was scaled down to not last as long as regular service had lasted in the past. Tithe and offering boxes will be in the entrance way of the sanctuary for you to make your donations upon entering the church. Envelopes will be placed outside of the doorway for your convenience.
Scott Central and the other Scott County Schools are scheduled to reopen with half of the pupils (A-M) on Thursday, Monday and Wednesday (August 6,10 and 12). The last alphabets (N-Z) will come on Friday, Tuesday and Thursday (August 7, 11 and 13). All home schoolers or virtual learners will come on Friday, August 14. All in school students will come in on August 17, 2017.
Prayers for Dezmond Towner who was in a 4-wheeler accident on last Saturday. He was air lifted from Lackey hospital in Forest to Jacksons. He is home now in a lot of pain, with a lot of scars, scratches, and a lot of different doctors’ appointments. Dezmond is the son of Terry and Shelia Sanders Towner. The maternal grandson of Jimmy and Bobbie Nell Boyd Sanders and the maternal great grandson of James Cleveland and Olivia McClendon Sanders. He is the paternal grandson of the late Albert Lee Towner.
Sympathy to the Johnson family in the passing of Bessie Jean Johnson. Her graveside services were last Saturday at Sweet Water Church of God in Christ Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements.
