Midway Youth enjoy Saturday outing
Midway M. B. Church Pastor’s Installation Program will be held, Sunday, August 12th at 2:00 p.m. The new pastor to be installed is Rev. Wesley Griffin of Carthage, MS. Rev. Bobby Sinclair of Community of Grace Baptist Church, 1809 W. Atkinson Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin will deliver the Installation Message.
A charge to the pastor will be done by Rev. Vorneal Lipsey, Sr. He is the pastor of Christian Union Baptist Church on Red Dog Road, Carthage, MS and New Jerusalem, Baptist Church on Highway 43. A charge to the church will be done by Rev. Kelly Miller of Jones Chapel M. B. Church of Carthage. MS. Dr. Johnny Barnes, Pastor of Providence M. B. Church will be in charge of the pulpit. Rev. David Sinclair, the son of Rev. Bobby Sinclair will introduce the guest speaker.
Happy Anniversary wishes to Violet and Willie Peavy, on August 3rd celebrating their 50th year anniversary.
Midway Youth department enjoyed a very pleasant outing on last Saturday. The children enjoyed an hour at Launch, The Trampoline Place, following a trip to Cece’s Pizza before returning home. The adults in attendance were Deacon Tevin Nickols, Brenda Nickols, Mandy McBeath, Jerry McBeath, Chenelle McBeath, Annette Cox, Victoria Cox, Thresa McBeath, Diane Banks, and Delie Shepard.
The Youth Feeding Program at Midway M. B. Church is open until July 31. Food will be served from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Any youth 18 and under are welcome to come and have a refreshing meal.
Sympathy to the Brown family in the death of William Sean Brown. He was eulogized on last Saturday at Mapp Funeral Home. William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Brown. Jr. He was the grandson of Eddie Brown, Sr. and the late Margaret Brown.
Harmony M. B. Church Revival will be held August 6th – 8th starting at 7:15 nightly. Harmony’s pastor is Pastor Bernard Kennedy. Speaker for the week is Pastor Perry Fletcher of Greater New Friendship M. B. Church of Brandon.
Little Rock M. B. Church Revival is Sunday Morning, August 5th message will be by Pastor Sheldon Thomas. Starting at 10:30 a.m. Afternoon message guest speaker will be Rev. Ronnie Brown, pastor of Mt. Carmel M. B. Church, Pelahatchie, MS. Monday through Friday, August 6-10 services will begin at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Willie Robinson, pastor of Christian Triumph M. B. Church of Morton.
New Friendship M. B. Church of Walnut Grove, Revival will begins August 6th – 8th starting at 7:30 nightly. The speaker will be Rev. Marcus Mann, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Carthage.
Midway M. B. Church Friends, Family, and Homecoming Day will be August 19th. Worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School will begin at 9:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8:10 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. Monday Night and Tuesday night speaker will be Rev. Alvin Day, Associate Minister of St. James Church of Canton, MS. Wednesday night speaker will be Rev. Kelly Miller, Pastor of Jones Chapel M. B. Church of Carthage, MS. Thursday night speaker will be Rev. Vorneal Lipsey, Pastor of Christian Union Church and New Jerusalem M. B. Church.
Our past First Lady Vernita Whittington has been in the hospital. Her daughter Diamond reports that she is home and doing okay.
