Prayer’s going up for
Midway M. B. Church will celebrate it 132nd Anniversary during regular morning service on September 16. Everyone is asked to come and celebrate this day with those of us who has remained members of the original church found in Midway.
Percy Shepard is in Baptist Hospital. He was admitted on last Saturday. Remember him and his wife Dorothy along with the rest of his family in your prayers.
Midway Freewill Baptist Church will start their Annual Revival on Sunday, September 23. Rev, Cory Bender is the pastor. Rev. Wesley Griffin will the deliver the evening message, which starts at 1:00 p.m. All of Midway M. B. Church are invited to attend.
Midway Freewill Revival will feature a different speaker each night, September 24-26th. services start at 7:15 p.m. nightly. Monday Night speaker will be Rev. Jeffery Stingley, pastor of Mt. Zion M. B. Church, Ludlow, MS. Tuesday night speaker will be Rev. Chris Thompson, pastor of Balucta M. B. Church, Forest, MS. Wednesday Night speaker will be Rev. Anthony Robinson, pastor of St. John M. B. Church of Newton, MS.
Sympathy to the Bland and Strong Families in the passing on last Thursday of Dennis Bland. He expired at home. He is the husband of Patsy Strong Bland. His services are incomplete at my press time. Holifield Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
Sympathy is given to the Kirkland Family in the passing of Albert “Toot” Kirkland. He will be eulogized Saturday at Galilee M. B. Church of Carthage, MS. He is the oldest brother of Mildred Kirkland Stowers. He had resided in Kosciusko, MS.
Sympathy to the Atkins Family in the passing of Melvin Atkins. He was eulogized on last Saturday at Harmony M. B. Church. Following his accident in the line of duty in the Leake County Police Force, he had moved to Texas. His interment was in Harmony M. B. Church Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Sympathy to the Murray and Harris Family in the passing of Lillie Bell Murray Harris. She was eulogized at Greater Deliverance COGIC on last Saturday. Her interment was in Murray Temple Rebirth COGIC Cemetery. Her arrangements were entrusted to Holifield Funeral Home.
Sympathy to the Williams Family in the passing of Seritha “Ree” Williams following her surgery. She was eulogized on last Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Apostolic Faith, 1494 Old Jackson Road, Forest, MS. Her interment was Lovelady Cemetery. Holifield Funeral Home was entrusted with all arrangements. “Ree” was the daughter of Patricia Williams. She also was a Biology/Pre Med degree graduate of Jackson State University.
Sympathy to the Holifield and Burks family in the passing of Bennie Burks. She was eulogized on last Saturday week at Little Rock M. B. Church. Her interment was in Little Rock Church Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to Holifield Funeral Home.
