Nicknames help when we don’t know the real name
Midway M. B. Church celebrated its 132nd Anniversary during regular morning service on last Sunday. Everyone who were members of the original Odom Family were asked to stand when one of Henry Odom the First children names were called. Found out that the children names were sometimes nicknames and pronounced as nicknames rather than their original given names. Example: the name was spelled James whereas he was known as Jemes rather than James. Nicknames have a way of alleviating you knowing the correct name.
