Midway to hold Sunday School Staff meeting
Midway M. B. Church will hold a Sunday School Staff Meeting at 8:00 a.m. Dr. Locord Wilson, Dean of Christian Education will chair the Staff Meeting. Those requested to be present are: Deacon and superintendent Tevin Nickols, Secretary, Chelsey McClendon, and Annie Stowers. Teachers are; Leslie Ross, Pam Banks, Patty Odom, Jennie Clay, Brenda Nickols, Delie Shepard, Diane Banks, Constance McClendon, Tom Wilson and Pastor Wesley Griffin.
Sympathy is given to the Bradford and Hughes Family in the passing of Charles “Tinie” Bradford. His service was held at Lone Pilgrim M. B. Church on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. His interment was at Midway M. B. Church Cemetery. Remember his wife Innette “Chick” Hughes Bradford and his family in your prayers.
Sympathy to the Bland and Derrick Families in the passing of Dorothy Nell Bland Derrick on last Sunday. Her arrangements were incomplete at my press deadline.
Sympathy to the Amos Family in the passing of Gilbert Amos. His service will be held at Mapp Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. His interment will be in Lovelady Cemetery. Remember his caregiver and daughter Fannie Hawkins and the rest of his family in your prayers.
Midway Freewill Baptist Church started their Annual Revival on last Sunday. Rev, Cory Bender is the pastor. Rev. Wesley Griffin delivered the evening message, which started at 1:00 p.m. All of Midway M. B. Church were invited to attend.
Midway Freewill Revival featured a different speaker each night, September 24 - 26th. services started at 7:15 p.m. nightly.
Monday Night speaker was Rev. Jeffery Stingley, pastor of Mt. Zion M. B. Church, Ludlow, MS. Tuesday night speaker was Rev. Chris Thompson, pastor of Balucta M. B. Church, Forest, MS. Wednesday Night speaker will be Rev. Anthony Robinson, pastor of St. John M. B. Church of Newton, MS.
Sympathy to the Watkins Family in the passing of Allenteen Watkins. Her funeral was held last Saturday, at Truelight M. B. Church, Walnut Grove. Her arrangements were entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home.
