Father’s Day Banquet is Sunday after Church
Midway M. B. Church Father’s Day Banquet will be held this Sunday immediately after morning service. The ladies are preparing and paying for the meal. The men are asked to come and enjoy the celebration.
The Father’s Day Program chairman and co-chairman are Shelia White and Nikki McClendon. The Father’s Day Program will be presented during regular service.
Midway M. B. Church will participate in the Crudup Ward summer Feeding Program. Meals will be served daily 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. Every child is welcome to come and participate in the program.
Tamyra Greer was recognized on last Saturday Night at the Texas USA Gymnastic Banquet. She was recognized for her outstanding accomplishments. She won Level 3 State Sr AZ Bar Champion, Level 3 State Sr AZ Floor Champion and Level 3 State Sr AZ AA Champion. This 10-year-old won 3 State Gold Medals in Gymnastics. Congratulations for doing so wonderful.
Tamyra is the daughter of Jonte Greer and Dr. Tomika Wilson Greer. Her maternal grandparents are Thomas Wilson and Dr. Locord Douglas Wilson of Forest. Her paternal grandparents are Elder Johnny Greer and Van Greer of St. Louis, Missouri. Her great grandparents are Roosevelt Cornelius and the late Maggie Martin Cornelius, and Lieutenant McKinley Douglas and the late Olivia Douglas. Great-great grandparents are the late Estella Wilson and Lottie Bell Stowers.
