Runoff election is August 27th
There will be a runoff for some candidates on August 27th. Go out and vote for the candidate of your choice. You still will have to vote either a Democrat or a Republican.

Midway M. B. Church Annual Revival will be held beginning August 19th, at 7:15 p.m.. The speaker for the week will be Rev. Marvin Miles of Galilee M. B. Church, Carthage. Sunday’s colors are Turquoise and Black.
Sympathy to the McClendon and Bobbitt family in the passing of Cliff “Owl” McClendon. His services were held last Saturday at Midway M. B. Church. His interment was in the church cemetery. Holifield Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
Sympathy to the Pinkston and Odom families in the passing of Reginald “Reggie Pinkston. His services were held on last Sunday at Concord M. B. Church. His interment was in Lovelady Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with his services.
Cora Ealy Odom daughter Ella Weese is here to aid in her car. I am told that Cora is at home.
Cora Odom Peavy and Cleveland Peavy celebrated their anniversary last week. Prayerfully they will have many more,
