Christmas program is this Sunday at Midway
The Community Christmas Dinner was a great success as was the Thanksgiving Community Dinner. It was held at the Freewill Baptist Church. Everyone received a Christmas gift that was beautifully wrapped. The good thing was that you could swap gifts it someone was willing to swap with you. Everyone enjoyed that part of the program. There was a great program which was dedicated to the old people as well as the younger people.
Midway M. B. Church Christmas Program will be held this Sunday during regular services. Please come and attend the program, Sunday service, and the fellowship.
It is said that each year has a number, it looks as if 2019 might have not quite gotten its number and now it is speeding up the cutting of the life lines of many making their transitions from this earthly home to their heavenly home. Please pray for all the bereaving family.
Midway community attended the homegoing services of Betty Nell Banks White last Saturday. She was eulogized by her nephew Rev. Eric McBounds. Prayer and Words of Comfort was rendered by another nephew Rev. Marcus Mann. Her pastor Rev. Wesley Griffin of Midway read the New Testament scriptures and her family’s church (Where she initially joined the church at an early age.) Greenleaf of Ludlow, Pastor Rev. Chris Spivey read the New Testament scriptures. The Mistress of Ceremony was Gwendalyn Brinston. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements.
Last Sunday evening around dinner time, one of our oldest community members Juanita Odom Banks made her transition from her earthly to her heavenly home. She had relocated to Brandon. Her arrangements are incomplete at my press deadline. Holifield Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements.

Learning with a Snack is a tutoring program at the Midway Freewill Baptist Church. After School Feeding and Tutoring Program for ages 5 – 15 years of age, every Monday and Thursday of each week from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All students are welcome
