Congratulations to: Those artists who submitted the two newly proposed Mississippi flag designs for a final vote. A committee chose the best two, in their opinion, to represent our state. We compliment the hundreds of competitors who demonstrated their concepts for consideration.
Prayers and concern for: Moses Perez, Tammy Myers. Ja’Corien Palm, Paula Moncrief Whitlock (daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bingham Moncrief) and continued concern for Earline Mitchell, Pat Martin, Jimmy Ray Palmer and those impacted by the natural disasters (wildfires, storms and hurricanes).
Sympathy to the families of: Tyundria Agee, Willie Jimmie Roland, Wydell Winstead Gray, Carol Farish (Mrs. Ovid) Vickers, Ruben Hughes, Tommy Wayne Mohon, Jr., Frankie Porter, Sandra Lee Martin Sessums, Clyde Lee Tatum, Luna Cushman Ferrell, Dakota McMiller, and Harold R. Middleton and the fatalities from those natural disasters.
Sittin’ and thinkin’: As the sanctions for safety during the Pandemic keep families confined to the company of family members this little reality struck home. Ask your husband to drive a nail. He will inquire. “Where’s the Hammer?”
Tell him it’s where he left it the last time. He will ask, “Where’s that?”
Ask him how should you know? He will reply, “Well who should?”
Ask him if he married you so that you might keep track of hammers.
He will answer, “Darned if I know what I married you for.”
Then answer that neither do you. This will hit the nail on the head.
If necessary repeat.
