Quick Bites offered at MSU/Scott County Extension Service facility on Thursday, April 11 “Spring Floral Fashion” will be presented by Lynette McDougald, Instructor of Plant and Soil Sciences. These programs are by interactive video on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. On April 25 the “Masters Gardeners at Work” will be presented by Sandy Havard, MSU Extension Agent in Warren County. The time of these programs is planned for your convenience, so bring a sack lunch and enjoy. Programs are free, but registration should be made in advance by calling 601-469-4241.
MSU Extension will sponsor the 2019 Magnolia Beef and Poultry Expo on Thursday, April 11 at the Smith County Ag Complex, Highway 35 south, Raleigh. It is hosted locally by Extension offices in Jasper, Newton, Rankin, Scott, Simpson and Smith. For more information call 601-469-4241 or go by the Scott County office, 230 South Davis Street, Forest.
Excel Community and Learning Center will host an event for Grandparents and Grandchildren on Friday, April 12, at 4 p.m. It is free and will include story time, educational bingo, prizes and snacks (grades K-6).

Congratulations to: Elizabeth Stokes on the celebration of her 94 Birthday Anniversary recently. Formerly a resident of the Pulaski Community and Morton she now resides in Montgomery Gardens, Starkville. “Liz” a World War II bride, native of Austria, the beloved bride of John Darden “John D.”
Stokes, made this her home and gained the love and respect of family and many devoted friends. My personal love and wishes/prayers for God’s richest blessings throughout the year go out to her (the example of a great LADY).
