Panic in America
We probably thought that rotten politics was the worst thing that could happen to us! It is pale compared to the sudden health pandemic. The hoarding extreme amounts of household products, hand sanitizers, mask, etc. is unheard of. One person bragged they had a year’s supply of toilet tissue!
“On March 1, the day after the first death from the first Coronavirus person, two brothers in Tennessee began buying hand sanitizers from Dollar Tree, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot and little ‘hole in the wall’ mom and pop stores to the tune of 17,700 bottles. They then advertised 300 bottles on Amazon with a starting price of $8. Up to $70. Per bottle. The next day Amazon pulled their items, along with thousands of other sanitizers, wipes and face mask. eBay soon followed suit with stricter measures prohibiting U.S. sales of sanitizers or masks! Now they are stuck with 17,400 items with little or no idea what to do with them.” (News flash — the brothers have decided to donate them.)
It is certainly a big change knowing us “old folks” need to stay home and try to not get exposed. The constant news is beginning to be put gloom and doom on our citizens. We are so blessed not to be in a congested area like large cities, but still need not take any risk that we can avoid!

Coronavirus Virus #19 - Christ over virus’s and infectious disease. “Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
If a virus can cause this much chaos, just think what the ‘Rapture’ is going to do #raptureready
(Joke) Sam and Fred went to the movies. Fred noticed Sam searching for something under his seat. “What are you doing Sam?” “Well — Sam sounded aggravated — I had a candy in my mouth, but it fell out.” “Forget it. It’ll be dirty by now.” I’ve got to find it – my teeth are in it.”
Most things that I listed last week, date and time, have been canceled!
I just heard a fantastic idea! For those with children, when schools are closed. How about having them write notes, color pictures and mail them to nursing and personal care homes? The elderly, in these homes, are not allowed visitors right now!
Another bit of advice comes from several teachers. They advise parents not to act like this is just a another spring break! Lower grades need to be read to and have them read to the parent. There are websites to help older students with their studying, if no lesson plans have been provided by their teachers!
My prayer for this week: Dear Lord, protect my family, friends and readers from the evil one! There are so many dangers in this world and sometimes I forget that the threats to our Soul are far worse than the physical danger. So, I put them in your hands. Please guard them inside and out. Amen.
