One Month Down!
“Y’all married folks holding up okay? I haven’t seen “I’m so blessed” or “he’s my everything” in awhile!”
This past month, for me, has been a time of “home bound” sewing masks, housecleaning and most important telephone and iPad time! The church services have helped, but Sunday sure doesn’t seem like Sunday anymore. This too will pass and better times will make us appreciate family, friends and life more! I love yard work and want to make mental note, when hot weather comes, just appreciate and not complain.
I believe churches are meant for praising God. But, so are 2:00 a.m. car rides, showers, coffee shops, the gyms, conversations with friends and strangers, etc. Don’t let a building confine your faith because we will never change the world by just going to church. We need to be the CHURCH!
If Poison Ivy is not your friend, you may get relief by this remedy. “Take a brown paper sack and cut strips to match area that has the rash. Soak strips in Apple Cider Vinegar and place on rash and let dry for 15 minutes.” Brown paper bags are about as scarce as “hen’s teeth.” Speaking of hens, got daughter, Janet, to get groceries — again — this week. When I looked at the price of eggs on the ticket I was shocked! Price averaged 25.4 cents each! I can understand why so many are building chicken coops! However, if all is figured in the cost of feed, etc. it will surprise them on the expense. Note! For baking you might want to try this Egg substitute: 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of water. Mix good before adding to other mixture. I have not tried this yet!
I love this statement, “The whole country could be tested by midnight if they’d let a Chick-FiL-A crew run the drive through testing sites!” Looking forward to having a sit down in their place for a good #1 on their menu! One of their restaurants in Vancouver, Washington delivered 1,000 free meals to hospital staffs!
After this worldwide pandemic, you might want to avoid purchasing Chinese groceries, dog food and other products. Look at the barcode on the products and if the first three digits are 690, 691 or 692 they are from China and 471 is from Taiwan. American and Canada made, starts with 00 and 09. America needs us to buy those made in America. If the government won’t help us, we need to help ourselves!
Taneytown, Maryland police are reminding residents to wear pants when checking mailbox. In a Facebook post, Police said, “Remember to put pants on before leaving house to check mailbox. They, also, stated “You know who you are, this is your final warning!”
The world has flipped upside down! Old folks are sneaking out of the house and their kids are yelling for them to stay indoors!
Virginia Pastor who defiantly held church services has died of Coronavirus #19! He died just weeks after proudly showing how packed his Virginia church was. He vowed to “keep preaching unless I am in jail or in the hospital!” His daughter said, “I beg people to understand the severity and seriousness of this, because people are saying it’s not about us, it’s about everybody around us!”
Man: I don’t need masks or hand sanitizers, my God will protect me. God I trusted you, but you didn’t protect me.” GOD: “My son, I gave you masks, hand sanitizers, told you to keep social distances, stay home, stay safe, BUT YOU DIDN’T LISTEN!”
Scammers are calling asking people to verify their personal bank account information, on the phone, in order to receive their stimulus check. Don’t fall for it!! The IRS will not reach out to people to collect those details! They already know this about you!
Whoever decided a liquor store is more important than a hair salon is obviously a bald headed alcoholic! It’s been interesting to see all the TV personalities, who are not getting professional made up and groomed services, while working from home. Everybody in the nation, that has hair, is needing a hair cut. I am blessed with daughter, Janet, who started out her work career as a beautician. She cut mine 10 days ago and that was a big relief. No, she isn’t doing this for the public!
A wife asked, “Does anybody have an owner’s manual for a husband? Mine’s making a whining sound!”
PRAYER NEEDS: Gwen Gaddis Gillian, Irene Newell, Gordon Haralson, Angel Sanchez, Ruth Speed and the entire nation in this critical time. Sincere sympathy to the family of Lyndell Easterling in the loss of their loved one.
Never in my wildest dreams, would I imagine, I would go up to a bank teller — with a mask on — asking for money!
20/20 is considered perfect vision. Maybe God is using 2020 for us to see clearly that He is in charge and the only one who can help us!
Last week I proudly reported Samaritan’s purse went to Washington, D.C. to help medically. Here is an update from Franklin Graham: While so many have expressed their appreciation and support, sadly, some New Yorkers and special interest groups have expressed concerns and outright opposition to the presence of Samaritans Purse, in Central Park. (Eight Members of N.Y. Congressional delegates, N.Y. City Commissioner and Human Rights Pride Coalition). In a country that cherishes freedom of speech and religion, we don’t object to criticism to our beliefs as a religious organization.
Sometimes you have to let go of the picture of what you thought life would be and like and learn to find joy in the story you are having.
Have a blessed week and get outside in the sunshine before the storms hit again over the weekend! Drinking and eating hot foods and sunshine and heat has been advised to help us, possibly, free of the #19 virus!
