A Changed Family
Our Sunday School lesson this week was on A Changed Family. This was about when Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into jail for casting out the demons in a young girl. Instead of showing hatred Paul and Silas sang songs and witnessed to other prisoners. Read Acts 16 to see how this changed lives of the jailer, his family and fellow prisoners. I could not help but think this morning with the many funerals that are being held now, their families are also experiencing a forever “changed life”.
Sympathy is extended to the families of Kim Giles Miles, Ricky Myers, Nadine Goolsby, Doris Delcomyn and Helen Rochinski. In their loss of loved ones.
Sick: Carol Ann Jones, Bennie Ware, Amanda Warren, Freddy May, Doris Cupit, Hazel Squires, Carolyn May Haralson, Bobbie Joe Denton, Don Hall, Jerry McLemore and Jean Haralson. I am certain there are many others suffering from the flu and sinus related illnesses.
EBC news: Senior Adult lunch for January, Friday, Jan. 12, at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is being furnished and bingo will be played: Senior Adult Evangelism Rally, Tuesday, 1/30 a.m. at Brandon Baptist. (We need everyone, who plans to go, to put name on sign up sheet.)

Recipe for “ABC Chili” (1 lb. ground beef, (2) cans, 15 oz., chili beans, (1) can rotel tomatoes, hot or mild. (1) pkg. McCormick chili seasoning, (1) can tomato sauce and (1) diced onion and bell pepper (optional). Brown and drain the ground beef. Season to taste. Add onion and pepper. Cook until veggies are tender. Add other ingredients. Let simmer on medium heat for (45) minutes.
