Thank You Lord!
“Thank You LORD! As I wake up this morning, the beating of my heart is the first miracle I experienced from YOU! Thank YOU, I am Alive, Healthy, Loved, Forgiven and a blessed! Thank YOU for protecting my family and providing all their needs. Thank YOU for all the Blessings of today and for all the days to come.”
It was really sad, to me, to hear about the people who drown this weekend. What was suppose to be a great duck hunt, turned out to be a horrible accident. My heart goes out to the families who are affected and also to all First Responder’s, Law Enforcement personnel and others!
Other Prayer needs: Betty Waggoner, Brian Revette and Stetson Tucker. Sincere sympathy to the families of Guyrene Everett and Wilson Wooten in their loss of loved ones.
The “Good Hope School” students, of years gone by, are fast decreasing. Guyrene Everett and Wilson Wooten (he had to attend Good Hope for a short while when the creek bridge washed out, as I remember). I don’t think I ever remember of so many deaths happening in such a short period of time! I hate to look at my daily email because of this.
“What will ‘Google Home’ do with Jesus? It was discovered it was not providing information about Jesus Christ, but could provide information about Muhammad and even Satan. That didn’t go over too well! ‘Google Home’ has decided to get rid of religious figures altogether — or at least until they figure how to answer the question!”
I was privileged to have part of my family, Janet and Harry Culpepper, Stephanie, Alan Harrison and Catcher Roberts, and a couple of friends, Donna and Ronnie Thomas, over for lunch yesterday. Donna and Ronnie have sold their house, located next door to me, and will be leaving Mississippi soon. Will certainly miss having them here! They came from Missouri and are not sure where they will select to put down roots.
EBC News: Next Sunday night (2/4 we will have a finger food meal after night services welcoming Bro. Jay Cassel’s first day as our Youth Director. Our Youth are having their “Annual Valentine Dinner” February 10th. Please sign up so they will have a count.
To those who have, so far, missed the flu or cold virus I sincerely hope it doesn’t find you! Either one is awfully hard to get rid of. We used to be able to use home remedies for cold and congestion and get by, but I found out a docto’s visit had to happen. Going earlier would have helped! Lesson learned!
“Some of you’ll be playing ‘'hide and seek’ with Jesus — and pretty soon He’s going to say ‘'Ready or Not, here I come!’”
Have a blessed week and try to stay healthy!
