The wedding shower for Adam Thrash and Caitlin Branum was well attended. I got a chance to do a little catching up on their present schooling. Both are working on their Doctorate degree’s. Adam is in Computer Science and Caitlin in Medieval Science. Whew! That’s way above me! Smart couple!

My daughter, Pam, and husband Jim Jeffries have taken another trip this week. They, along with couple of friends, decided that riding the train to Chicago would be a great adventure. They quickly found out when they went to their teenie tiny sleeper, that it wasn’t such a good idea. Jim said being on a ship in the Navy, during rough seas, was not as bad as the train ride back. They are enjoying the sights and foods but dreading the train ride. It would be another $350 to upgrade, so plan to stick to original plan. (Glad I didn’t get that trip for my Christmas gift!)
The first ever cordless phone was created by God, he named it prayer! It never loses it's signal and you never have to recharge it. Use it anywhere.

Joke of the week, “Teaching is not for a sensitive soul. While reviewing future, past and present tenses with my English class, I posed this question: ‘I am beautiful is what tense?’ One student raised her hand. ‘Past tense.’”
Your Smart Phone could save your life. “It happens too often; An unresponsive patient arrives at a hospital and doctor’s don’t know the person’s name or next of kin. The patient has an iPhone, but it’s password is protected. There is a simple solution, and it’s woefully underused. It’s called “Medical ID” and it’s free. It allows first responders to access your emergency contact and medical information. Once you set it up, all they have to do is tap Emergency. Check this app out on the AppStore or google to find out more about it.”
“On The Way to meet my husband at a restaurant, I didn’t have my phone and immediately panicked. I needn’t have worried. He saw my phone on the couch at home and brought it with him. When he arrived, I checked my texts. There was only one, and it was from him. “I'm on my way, and I have your phone.” (This reminds me off how lost I feel without my phone. I have driven back home from Forest to get mine when I am leaving the area)
Have a God blessed week!
