Tragedies our new norm!
Almost every day we hear of tragic things beyond our scope of understanding. There are so many “sick” minds in today’s world that safety needs to be our priority. Of course, you cannot be prepared for what has happened in the last week. Why would anyone plan to walk into a synagogue and start shooting just because the congregation is Jewish?
Then the packages containing bombs that were mailed to so many diverse people. “One of the packages was sent to George Soros. Reportedly he is an ex-Nazi billionaire that has sworn to destroy the USA. He owns Antifa, most of the members of congress, Black Life Matters and Acorn to name a few of his Anti-American organizations. He also paid for all the spontaneous protests the day after Trump was elected. He has done this and more, I bet most of you have no idea who he is. Your ignorance is a great source of his power!”
“If you think 4,000 Hondurans suddenly decide to march 3,500 miles toward our border right before midterm elections, with camera men and it’s not staged, then you are not paying attention!”

“Being a Male is a matter of birth. Being a Man is a matter of age. But being a Gentleman is a matter of choice.”
I heard that President Trump addressed the price of prescription drugs this past week. I got the shock of my life this past week when I stopped at pharmacy to pick up new prescription. The gentleman that assisted me was too shocked to tell me the price. He turned the computer screen around for me to see for myself. The (1) month supply on Medicare “plan D” was listed at $93,000!!!!! I told him I didn’t have a ticket to the 1.4 Billion dollar lottery, or any assurance that if I did, I would win it! He was nice enough to check my Medicare “plan B” and that price was $6.98. I later found out the cash price would have been $169.00. By the way, most drugs are not covered on "plan B."
I felt like I re-visited the past a few days ago. I had a bed comforter that was too heavy for my washer. I went to the local laundry facility and used the heavy machine to wash and dry. When my first child was born, it was not customary to have a dryer in the home. Cloth diapers, disposable ones were not available then, were difficult to dry inside during a rainy period. Going to the local facility was a nightmare! To get a dryer you would have to stand in front of a dryer and claim your turn to use it. I have seen women pushing or hitting to use those dryers. Oh, how times are different, for the better!
“My prayer for you this week, that you’d make time for your heart to be quite before God — letting Him remind you of all the times he has rescued you, provided for you and cared for your family! May thankfulness bubble over in you.”
Have a blessed week!
