Honor Law Enforcement!
Last week was set aside to honor all Law Enforcement. I do salute all involved in making America as safe as possible! We have not a clue what these people encounter daily in their work. The world is so different now with evil rampant, no regard for human life, drugs, etc. It is such a small thing just to say “thank you” but so well deserved!
A couple of nights ago, I saw the former talk show host, David Letterman, being interviewed on the late show Night Line. I didn’t know he is currently on Netflix with a show called My Show Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. I watched him for several of his 33 years in his former shows. He impressed me greatly about President Trump. On his long running show he had him as guest many times. He said he was a talented business man back then as well as now. As President, he says some thing he wishes he wouldn’t say, but he is our Commander and Chief. He said night show host now should not be so critical of everything he does as it is hurtful to him and our great Nation! Good for David Letterman!
President Trump recently signed a Bill for OTC (Over The Counter) Hearing Aids cutting the price by 90 percent. FACT; 48 Million Americans, over 65, currently have hearing loss but can’t afford traditional $5,000 hearing aid price tags.
Billionaire technology investor, Robert Smith, told Morehouse college class of 2019, of almost 400 all male graduates, that he and his family are presenting them with the ultimate gift. A grant that will wipe out all their student loan debts! He challenged them to pay forward to every graduating class thereafter! It comes in addition to $1.5 million Smith gave Moorehouse for scholarships earlier this year and a new park.(According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitutiont this will cost about $40 million).
Would you agree with the following statements? (I just want you to think of an answer, not necessary to answer out loud). It’s 2019. Get rid of Algebra II in high school and replace it with financial fundamentals, teach kids about careers. Not just college, salaries, credit, budgeting, taking out a loan, investing, college debt, buying a house and filling out tax forms. (Leroy Geaghan)
I want to plant a few vegetables, but rain just won’t go away. I have talked to a few die hard gardners like me and most of them are in a holding pattern too. I am sure when the rain stops we will be grumbling about that. One of my former neighbors that is now living off Highway 21 has a beautiful big garden coming along. He does this every year, oh, to be so talented!

Foot in mouth — My brother ran into a woman he’d gone to school with many years earlier. After they caught up, she showed him a picture of her daughter. “Wow,” he said. “She doesn’t look anything like you. She’s pretty.”
It doesn’t matter whether the glass is half empty or half full. Be thankful you have a glass and there’s something in it!
“I believe churches are meant for praising God, but so are 2 a.m. car rides, showers, coffee shops, the gym, friends, conversations with strangers, etc. Don’t let a building confine your faith because we will never change the world by just going to church, we need to be the church!”
Have a enjoyable and very blessed week!
