Happy Father’s Day!
Father’s Day was founded in Spokane Washington by Sonora Smart Dodd at the YMCA in 1910.
Her Father, the Civil War Veteran, William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. However, it was not until 1972 (52 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official) that the day honoring fathers became a nationwide holiday in the United States.
“What Makes A Dad? God took the strength of a mountain, the majesty of a tree, the warmth of the summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea, the generous soul of nature, the comforting arm of night, the wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle’s flight, the joy of morning in the spring, the faith of a mustard seed, the patience of eternity, the depth of a family need, then God combined these qualities, when there was nothing more to add. He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it.......Dad.

I had a birthday last week. My daughter, Pam and husband, Jim Jeffries, hosted a family get together on Saturday. We had 22 attending with 10 that couldn’t make it. It is hard to set dates that doesn’t interfere with previous plans. I had a great time, but want time to slow down some!
“Never regret being a good person, to the wrong people your behavior says everything about you. Their behavior says enough about them.”
I have had calls, as many as twice in a day, from the Social Security Adm. with a warrant for my arrest. They call on local 601-469- number and I sometimes answer it because of that local number. Most of the time answering device catches it. I am hoping President Trump will demand telephone providers to fix this problem! He certainly did a wonderful job with Mexico when he threatened a 5 percent tax every month till it reached 25 percent on their goods coming in USA. Of course, Democrats are upset — surprise, surprise!
Being a Christian doesn’t mean I won’t fall. It means Jesus will catch me when I fall!
Have a great and God blessed week and share it with those you come in contact with. You never know what just speaking to a stranger might mean to them. A smile gets easier when you do it often and doesn’t cost you anything!
