Snakes and
more snakes!
This year I have heard many reports of snakes! It’s truly better when you just hear of them and not see them. I saw one recently just stretched out, about five feet long, when I was cutting grass. I increased speed of mower and chopped it up.
Never mind it might have been a “good” snake? To me the only good snake is a dead snake! Then a few days later I walked outside and thought I saw another one. It was just one’s skin that had been left, I suppose as a reminder, that I am not alone. I have been told it’s mating and shedding season that is sending them out in the open. Please hurry and go away! I should not have to have any heart test any time soon. My heart should be good since I didn’t have a heart attack!
June 21st is the official first day of summer. Have you ever read the weather in an almanac? It’s amazing how close their predictions, a year in advance, come to the actual weather.
This is the first year that I don’t have garden beds! I do have five tomatoes plants out, but they are all stalk and rather sickly looking. Didn’t ever think I would join the group that says “my garden is at Vowell's Grocery Store!” So far it feels pretty good.

Since abortion is such a debated topic in our nation, I am sharing, what I think, is a very touching statement by a 13 year old girl. “Addison Wooley asked the City Council leaders to make Raleigh, N.C. A Sanctuary City for the unborn. On an Ultrasound the baby tries to runaway from the disturbing instruments that try to kill the baby. She said, the baby’s mouth opens wide in a scream when being killed. These babies are alive! They feel being killed, it hurts and there is nothing they can do about it. There is no way around it, abortion is murder.”
New York passed a law allowing abortion up to birth and killing babies after birth! They now have a Bill in the works making it illegal to de-claw a cat because it’s inhuman! Cats are more important than human Babies?
I bought a little bag of air. The company that makes it was kind enough to put some potato chips in it as well!
Husband gets a shock at what his wife tells him on her birthday. A man was watching his wife as she looked at herself in a mirror. He asked what she would like for her birthday? She replied, “I’d like to be eight again,” still looking in the mirror. On the morning of her birthday he made her a batch of coco pops, then took her to Adventure World at the Theme Park. They road every ride there. Five hours later they staggered out with their heads reeling and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to McDonald’s, bought her a Happy Meal, with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then he took her to a movie with popcorn and M&M's, her favorite. What a fabulous adventure. They wobbled home and she collapsed into bed exhausted!
He leaned over to his wife, with a big smile, “Well Dear what was it like being eight again! Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. I meant my dress size, you Idiot!
“My Faith Votes. If we prayed as much as we complained, we’d have a lot less complaining and a lot more people praying!”
Have a blessed week and share it with others!
