Can I say hot!
Mississippi is known for weather changes, but to jump off to the heat that we are having now, it really hurts! I hated to open my power bill this past week. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I must remind myself when winter comes not to complain about being cold!!
With this new electronic life we now have with smart TV’S, computers, phones, iPads, etc., it is stressful when someone tries to hack in and everything locks up! Someone shut a couple of my things down this week. Bringing it back up makes me want to go back to pad and pencils. It’s great ‘till that happens.
We hear that it takes a village to raise a child. I must say that is true of getting older too. The mind still says “you can do it.” The body says, “No you can’t.” Friends, neighbors and family that shows kindness with helpful “fixes” around the house are priceless. Thanks to all that makes life better!
After this past week, this quote sure rings true! “Please keep kids in your thoughts and prayers. I’ve come to realize God made Public Schools as mission fields for some teachers. It breaks my heart the safest place most kids feel is when they are at school!” Students who are loved at home, come to school to learn. Students who aren’t, come to school to be loved. Teachers are you experiencing this?”
“The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is between your knees and the floor.”

Sunday was the first day of EBC Revival. Bro. Paul Smith gave all in attendance something to ponder and pray about. The title of his sermon was “How Big Is YOUR God?” (Just think about what you put first in your life and that is your God. As the old saying goes, he stepped on many toes. We tend, as humans, to not remember we are supposed to carry the cross in our lives. “Revival means to bring back to God.”
Ministry Opportunity: We will be carrying the food, that was donated during the Revival, to the Carlisle Crisis Center.
This is to assist families affected by recent Scott County events. “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily, I say unto you, inasmuch as we have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)
“Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad and a soul that never loses Faith in God”.
Have a blessed week!
