September Calendar
Have you noticed how odd the date looks all this month? First and last number are the same. Guess I didn’t write it down when it was 9/9/19. When you retire, writing the date down just isn’t as important anymore!
The “Go Tell America - Each One Reach One” has started. It is a simple plan to reach out to those who need Jesus. “Do you have a friend or relative who does not know Jesus Christ and the peace He gives? Write down the names of those you would like to see come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Next, make a commitment to pray daily for these people. Finally, invite these people to come to the crusade with you.” (Dates are October 20-23)
We are in the Bible Belt of America, but we are missing the mark to stay identified as such. Demons are busy at work trying to destroy religion here and all over the world. We have a chance through this up-coming crusade, to change our area, and win those who are lost in their sins of unbelief. Please support this event with your prayers for those who do not believe!

Tonya Wilkerson Whittington asked that we add her niece to our prayer list. Anna Wilkerson, daughter of Kyle Wilkerson, is on Mission trips. She will spend three months each in the countries of Bay, South Africa, Cambodia and Ecuador. This is Tony Wilkerson’s granddaughter. Please remember her in your daily prayers.
Teacher to students “It’s impossible for a whale to swallow a human. Even tho it’s a large mammal, it’s throat is very small.” Student, “Jonah was swallowed by a whale!” Teacher, “Again, it’s physically impossible.” Student, “Well, when I get to heaven, I will ask Jonah!” Teacher, “What if Jonah went to hell?” Student, “Then you ask him!”
A Farmer in Stone County is devastated after 11 cows were stolen from his farm. They are “black baldy’s” (have black and white faces). Seven of these heifers have tattoos in their ears. These are valued at around $10,000. If anyone has any information, call Stone County Sheriff at 601-928-3191/or Crime Stoppers to make an anonymous report at 877-787-5898.
On September 12, 2017, the temperature was a very cool 59 degrees in our area! This was due to hurricane Irma. I know we will welcome temps like that, soon I hope!
Good News is a thing we seldom hear so this news was music to my ears; “When management of the Chick-Fil-A at a University in Odessa, Texas, got news that a gunman was on a shooting rampage in their city, they offered their workers an opportunity to close early and go home. Instead their compassionate workers did the opposite! They worked way past their shifts to help feed law enforcement who’d been caught up in the tragic shooting spree. God Bless the men and women who wear the Blue! (This restaurant is my favorite of all fast food places. Besides good tasty food, their employees always say “it’s my pleasure” when they serve you.)

Our President, Donald Trump, made a great speech at the 9/11/01 site of devastation, it was so personable and touching to those families that suffered the losses and to most everyone in the sound his voice, including me! He showed his sincere sympathy and you can tell it is from his heart! Thank you, President Trump!
I hope the love bugs are gone from our area! If they aren’t, you might want to try this trick. Get a bright white bowl, fill it almost full of water and add (2) tablespoons of baby oil. The bugs will come to this mixture and drown.
How to tell if you’re an adult: You gained 30 pounds overnight, you’d rather sleep than go out, everything hurts, comfort before style, you have a favorite spatula and college students look like they are 12 years old!
