The Salvation
Salvation, in general terms, is the help and liberation of a person who is in danger due to a medical emergency, accident, etc. that you need the help of another person to get out of that situation safely. In reality, there are many occasions in our lives when urgent or immediate help is needed to overcome it. In this column we will discuss something related to our spirit and soul that is important.
For a Christian, the most important concept is directly related to the salvation of the soul, because we are all sinners and if it were not for God, we would be eternally condemned. God’s grace and our faith in Him saves us from condemnation.
In the New Testament the apostle Paul was inspired by God to leave us a clear message about salvation: “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast the word I preached to you — unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,” 1 Corinthians 15;1-4 ESV
This means that there would be no salvation if Christ had not been resurrected.
We must understand, however, that salvation must be achieved by ourselves allowing Him to display all the power of His grace. That is why all of us who believe in Christ have full hope in Him as our Redeemer and Savior.
When we live experiences that could bring spiritual confusion and disorientation, we must be very careful and faithful to God, and in that way get ahead. “The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.” Psalm 37:39-40 ESV
Let us never forget that He tells us: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8 ESV
As Christians we will have the life we need by learning that communion with God is the most pleasant and consoling, because knowing that through the grace of salvation we rejoice. In this way God will receive all the glory of our salvation so that we can serve him forever and enjoy his favor.
May God bless you.
