Sure Help
There are moments that require sure help from somebody we can trust. Then, we look around and sometimes choose the wrong person and pay the consequences. We suffer with the affliction that comes. In the spiritual realm, be careful and don’t choose too quickly or go with your first impression about someone because of their religious accomplishments or other human spiritual belief or activity. Usually, I have received the wrong help when I trusted in the flesh and made decisions that were not right and necessary. What do we do? The Word has an answer: “I lift my eyes to the hills from where comes my help. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 ESV. When we look for help, the Lord is a sure help!
However, it is not always easy to make spiritually right decisions because we constantly live under the world’s pressure. We are currently living in very difficult times because government measures are being taken that affect not only this country but also the world. No one knows what will be achieved in the near future in the economy, education, science, etc. Only one thing is and will always be the same: the immeasurable presence of God. Many people choose to stay in command with high responsibilities, especially those who love the power and the power only but, they must not forget the power of God who is almighty, omnipresent and omniscient.
When our Lord calls us to serve Him, some will be afraid and look backward at the comfort of the past. They fear the future and don’t walk straight ahead. Of course it’s wrong. We can’t forget what is in the past but it is more important to keep going ahead because with faith the best is yet to come. Paul gave a message to the Ephesians that God inspired and it is valid forever for everybody: “So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.” Ephesians 3:13 ESV.
We find help in Salvation and expiation of our sins when we believe in Jesus Christ, so, I am not afraid to preach the Gospel. We are human but thanks to Christ we can preach because we know what sin is and how to be repented of it. We are not angels who can’t preach the Gospel because they don’t know sin. Jesus obeyed His Father and the Father awarded Him with His resurrection and raised Him to be with Him forever in Heaven.
We, as disciples, sometimes are confused and don’t know what to do and which way is the right way. Our help comes from Jesus himself. “What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.” Matthew 10:27 ESV.
Through Jesus Christ we fear not because we really love Him and trusting in Him we have a sure help.
May God bless you.
