Artificial Intelligence
Intelligence is the ability to learn, know and understand mentally our experiences. In human beings it is an important faculty because it helps us to discern and be skilled in our lives without necessarily implying a formal education in school or university. There are many levels of intelligence, and evidently, the world of science has benefited with the high IQ and preparation of many high level professionals. These people have helped to discover and understand what God created.
Nowadays, as a product of scientific and technological advances, paradoxically the ethics and morals of society have deteriorated. If we analyze this concept in more depth, we will come to the conclusion that humanity is being less free because there is a majority that does not possess the formal education or the economic means to possess and enjoy the technological advances that exist. That means having a large number of people who are irrelevant in the decisions made at the levels of business and political power because they are influenced in a grotesque way.
The majority is influenced and pressured by things that the power decides through the use of algorithms. In the high level of decisions, there is a cult towards the use of algorithms in the world of communications. Artificial intelligence is displacing human intelligence as a result of what some call “Big data.” A good example are the robots, devices, and electronic devices that are being used in large automobile industries. On the one hand, it has been beneficial for our comfort, and on the other, it has been negative because the labor of millions of people has been replaced. This has produced an evident social polarization between the rich and the poor people, even though the poor have the possibility of making use of a few benefits like the i-Phones and a few others.
Many technologists and scientists have returned to original sin in the same way that Adam and Eve did when they brought forth fruit from the tree of wisdom that God had forbidden them. “And the woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ But the serpent said to the woman, ‘you will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’” Genesis 3:2-5 ESV
It is evident that the invention of artificial intelligence is the product of the wisdom of beings who do good and evil by obeying the purposes and ambitions of those who lead large companies or institutions. The consequences they are having for human beings in the world are not taken into account. The world community is far from being fair, egalitarian and Christian. This is quite the opposite, since, from a moral viewpoint, it means to completely ignore the Spirit of God. For those of us who believe in the Holy Spirit, artificial intelligence leaves a free and very easy field for the eternal enemy of God who knows only how to lie and divide by pressing sin on human beings. God is concerned that we, as human beings, are just, and that we bring bring peace to humanity.
The new generations that have access to technological advances should consider what the misuse of these advances means. May God bless them.
