Norma Jean “Frosty” Grant Gilbert, a life-long resident of Scott and Smith Counties, Mississippi died on February 7, 2026, at the blessed age of 97. She died peacefully at Lackey Nursing Home, where she was cared for by their wonderful and dedicated staff since December 2022.

Dixie National Trail Ride Begins Saturday

It is about that time. The Dixie National North Trail ride from Philadelphia to Jackson begins Saturday at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds and will move up to Walnut Grove on Sunday. The theme this year is USA Celebrating 250 Years. The Red, White, and Blue Dixie National Parade is Saturday, February 14 in Jackson.
