Somebody had to break defending national college football champion Louisiana State University’s winning streak. I can’t think of a better team to have done that than my Mississippi State University Bulldogs. Saturday we were the better team and the Bulldogs toppled the Tigers.

Sebastopolooza

The 2017 Sebastopolooza festival kicked of with a nip in the air Saturday, but the greased pig race warmed things up quickly.
Hundreds of people turned out for the daylong event which featured a 5K run/walk and kids’ fun run, a main stage full of entertainment and wide assortment of food and craft vendors at Bishop Park in Sebastopol.

Soccer registration is now though August 10

Forest Youth Sports Association is holding open registration for 2018 soccer until August 10.
Forms can be picked up at the Gaddis Park office building on weekdays.
The fee is $75. Checks should be made payable to Forest Youth Sports. A certified copy of birth certificate is required.
