Our prayers are with the family of Mrs. Mae Alice Hughes who was memorialized during Graveside Service Sunday, April 28th in the Murray Temple Rebirth Church of God in Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes attended Bettye Mae Jack High School and worked at Peavey’s Electronics and TWL until it closed.

Colon Cancer Exhibit and Presentation Coming to Forest Public Library

Our community is saddened by the death of Mrs. Mary Lois Evans Clark who died after a lengthy illness on April 16th at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Memorial services are set for Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 at Greater Deliverance COGIC.

Community residents braced for tornados and storms

Our community is saddened by the tragic death of Mrs. Shirley Burks Wilson who passed when power went out during the terrible storm/tornado last week. Her life will be honored Saturday, April 20th at Little Rock M. B. Church at 12:00 noon, and her visitation will be on Friday, April 19th from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.
