We got some good news last week. First, we have a $500 million surplus over estimates in the current budget, and, second, we should be receiving $1.8 billion from the American Rescue Plan that can be spent flexibly. Despite the year-long pandemic, it looks like Mississippi is financially stable, right now anyway.
