On October 1, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Flowood Police Department, made an interdiction traffic stop on a GMC pickup truck at the 84 mile marker west bound on I-20 in Scott County. The traffic stop was initiated due to the GMC driving in a careless manner.

Ceremony planned to honor 1970 FHS football team

On Sept. 18, members of the 1970 Forest High School Football Team will walk onto L. O. Atkins Field for the first time since ending their perfect season 50 years ago - and they’ll do so together just like they did back then.
